To enroll in classes at City College, new students must complete the following steps:
1) Submit an admissions application to the Admissions & Records Office.
2) Take the placement tests.
3) Pick up your results & attend an orientation.
4) Talk with a counselor.
5) Get a registration appointment ticket and register online or in person.

City College offers Placement testing in English and Math for students from October 2008 through January 2009 for the Spring 2009 Semester. Native English Speaking Students may take the test in either a Computerized or Paper/Pencil format. To make an appointment for the computerized test, call the Testing office at 239-3124. For the paper/pencil test, no appointment is necessary. Students must arrive fifteen minutes early in order to be seated, and must bring picture identification (e.g. driver's license, passport or CA I.D.) in order to take the test.

English & Math Placement Testing Test results for the paper/pencil placement test will be ready for pick-up 3 working days after the date your test was taken (if your admissions application has been processed). All computerized testing will be held in the basement of Conlan Hall Rm E5						2. Orientation First pick up test results in person in Conlan Hall Rm 203 or online at http://www.ccsf.edu/w4 All in-person Orientations will be held in Conlan Hall Rm 101 unless otherwise specified.	3. Counseling & Advising All New Student Counseling will be held in Conlan Hall Rm 205. Students who have completed 24 or more units at another college or CCSF must call Continuing Student Counseling* at (415) 452-5235.
