What
will this program do for me?
This program offers a Certificate of Completion and an Associate of Science Degree. The Administration of Justice curriculum is designed to meet the needs of students desiring entry-level or promotional positions in law enforcement agencies in either the public or private sector. This program not only provides individuals in law enforcement an opportunity to increase their knowledge of Administration of Justice, but also enhances their skills as police, correctional, probation and/or parole officers, investigators, and private security officers. For those with an Associate of Arts/Science or Baccalaureate Degree in other fields, this program provides an opportunity to earn a certificate in Administration of Justice. |

What
kind of job can I get once I complete the program?
You may find work as an investigator, identification officer, highway patrol officer, correctional officer, police officer, or as a deputy sheriff. Graduates are also qualified for employment as private investigators and private security officers. Refer to Occupational Outlook Handbook for salary and job outlook information. |

much can I earn in this career?
The starting salary for a San Francisco police officer is over $40,000 per year. Highway patrol and sheriff's department salaries are similar. Private security companies pay according to education and experience. |

| What
are the requirements for receiving a degree or certificate? The requirements for the degree are completion of 18 units of Administration of Justice courses plus CCSF general education coursework completion.
